Season two launch

Ari Emanuel and music manager Ben Persky will return with season two of “Rushmore” on Oct. 20. The podcast brings guests together to debate the greatest people, events and teams across sports, entertainment and other fields. Episodes will be available on YouTube and major podcast platforms.

The premiere will feature NFL commissioner Roger Goodell discussing the Mount Rushmore of NFL comebacks. Variety reports that Pat McAfee will also join the opening episode; The Hollywood Reporter lists McAfee among guests appearing in future episodes.

Basketball and comedy debates

The second episode, scheduled for Oct. 27, will bring Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant together to debate the greatest starting five in NBA history. Variety reports that the show will move to a “bi-weekly” release schedule after its first two episodes.

Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld will appear later in the season for a discussion of comedy greats. Their episode was taped during the Netflix Is a Joke festival in May 2026.

Stories behind the rankings

Persky said the debates are a starting point for exploring guests’ stories and historical perspectives. Emanuel said the new season would feature “bigger debates, bigger personalities and even more people willing to tell us why we’re wrong.”

Season two is presented in partnership with nativ.ly and produced by Pantheon Media Group, with filming primarily at WME’s Beverly Hills headquarters. The podcast debuted last year with guests including Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Elon Musk and Doris Kearns Goodwin.
