Screening and conversation
Quentin Tarantino will take part in a conversation following a screening of his 2019 film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” on Friday, Oct. 23, at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre as part of AFI Fest 2026. The venue also hosted the film’s world premiere in July 2019.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, the film is set in 1969 Los Angeles and follows television actor Rick Dalton and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth, as they navigate a changing Hollywood.
Cliff Booth’s return
The event comes ahead of Netflix’s “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,” directed by David Fincher and scheduled to debut Nov. 25. Pitt reprises his role as Booth.
“As the world awaits The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, AFI is proud to celebrate where it all began,” AFI president and CEO Bob Gazzale said. Tarantino also plans to release a novel, “The Adventures of Cliff Booth,” in December.
Festival schedule
The 40th annual AFI Fest runs Oct. 21–25, with more than 150 films screening at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood. It will open with the U.S. premiere of “Wildwood” and close with “Being Heumann.”
