Hosting debut

Druski will make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on Nov. 7 during the show’s 52nd season. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter describe him as the first online content creator to host the program.

The musical guest for his episode remains to be announced. The Hollywood Reporter says his booking was first reported by Puck.

From online sketches to the stage

Druski, whose name is Drew Desbordes, built his audience through short comedy sketches on Instagram. According to Variety, he has more than 35 million followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

His work beyond social media includes a starring role opposite Chloe Bailey in Peacock’s 2023 film “Praise This” and opening for J. Cole and 21 Savage on their 2021 tour. He also hosted the BET Awards in June.

Season lineup

Druski’s episode is scheduled to follow an Oct. 31 show hosted by “Obsession” actor Inde Navarrette, with Gracie Abrams as musical guest.

Most of last season’s cast is returning, while Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter are joining as featured players. Chloe Fineman and writer and occasional performer Martin Herlihy have left the show.
