Kwetey draws first position
Michael Tetteh Kwetey has picked Number 1 on the ballot for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional Chairmanship election, scheduled for November 2026.
Kwetey described the position as symbolic of “unity, hard work and the new direction” he wants for the party in the region. He urged supporters to remain hopeful and committed to his campaign.
He announced on October 15 that he had submitted his nomination forms at the NDC Greater Accra Regional Office. “One step ahead of a dream to be fulfilled soon, the hard work continues,” he said.
Danso outlines grassroots priorities
Benjamin Danso, a former NDC Krowor Constituency Chairman, has also filed his nomination for the regional chairmanship. He said his bid was rooted in service, integrity and dedication to grassroots members.
Danso said he aimed to promote unity and strengthen the party’s organisational structures across all 34 constituencies in Greater Accra. He described a united regional front as central to preparing the NDC for the 2028 general elections.
He also pledged an issue-based campaign and said party members’ concerns should be central to decision-making. He called for leadership that recognises grassroots activists’ contributions to the party’s electoral fortunes.
