Recovery and caution
Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson said Ghana was moving in the right direction and had laid a foundation for economic take-off after a period of crisis.
“Today we have turned the tide,” he said, while warning that the gains depended on maintaining macroeconomic stability. He urged caution as the country builds on its progress.
Responsibility to Ghanaians
Forson said President Mahama and his members of parliament had been elected to respond to a country in crisis, and urged them not to lose sight of that mandate as conditions improved.
“Together, we have a responsibility. A responsibility to work to the satisfaction of the people of Ghana,” he said.
